I also market a business but I use myspace, videos, and newsletter to a targeted group of prospects. You need to first market yourself before you can market your business. Here a great site to cheak out

If you want to go after travel, you need to think of a niche and focus around that. For example, conventions. You can sell tour packages to people in town visiting a convention. This will be a much smaller target audience then if you went after major cities but the competition will be far less giving you a fighting chance.
