If I send someone a friendship request on facebook, what can he get to know about me? - Grace - 11-19-2013 06:22 AM

If I send someone a facebook friendship request and he accepts it, what can he get to know about me? Could he find my exact location etc? (and if i had a fake account, would they be able to trace my real name, location etc).
Even if I have privacysettings on the highest level. and the person having a fake name/location displayed on his account.
I want to know if there's a way to trace the real name/location of a fake account on facebook.

You can control how much is visible.
You could disable location tracking on mobile devices, make schools/work/age info private.

You can set what people can see in your profile, although you cannot target who sees what information. If you set it to public, your whole profile will be viewable to everyone. If you set to Friends only, your full profile will only be visible to your friends (you can choose to leave some info blank like contact phone number and relationship status if you wish). Or PRIVATE, meaning only YOU can see your full profile and details.

Best advice is to only send friend requests to your actual friends/trustworthy people. Don't accept requests from people you have never met before as these COULD be hackers.

It depends on How Much You are sharing with your Friends. and There is No way he/she can track You if You Put Your privacy at It's Highest levels.
