is there a way to edit the captions on photos without seeing the history of it on facebook? - MSW21 - 11-19-2013 02:56 PM

Facebook has been annoying in that recently when you edit a caption of a photo/video on Facebook everyone can see the history/past of what the caption used to say in the past.

Is there a way to prevent everyone from seeing the history captions on photos on Facebook or is this going to be forever now on Facebook?

It's always been that way, and it isn't changing anytime soon.

I don't think so.
Frankly, I think this is fair (and now consistent to any other 'edit' post, comment etc) to the likes & comments that people gave to the previous caption, that they might not like or comment as they commented with the edited caption.

If you don't want it, just delete the picture & upload it again with the new caption.

Sorry but unfortunately there is no way around it, that's the way it's going to be on facebook.
