Did anyone else know that you can have followers on Facebook? - kyswagga - 11-19-2013 02:57 PM

I use Facebook a lot but until two weeks ago I didn't know people could follow other people on Facebook. I was confused because whats the point of friend requests if someone can follow instead. The reason I found out about this information is because I had a few guys who asked me out sending me friend requests. I denied the friend requests but they were liking my pics and making comments. I didn't understand how but then i stumbled on follow in my privacy setting and when i hit the link i had them all following me. I found out that once you post anything public you can have followers. I stopped that feature and blocked them all but I have no idea when this change took place. How do other Facebook users feel about this change?

yeah, it's nice 'cause then you can have Followers who see public stuff and Friends who see things only for Friends. Or like you, you can restrict everything only to Friends. Why block people though? 'cause they wanted to Follow you? fine but some people seem to block for no reason. then we can't write anything to them ever. you're kinda only supposed to do that if you've got a problem with them, not 'cause they like ya???
