I haven't been posting much on Facebook lately and because of this I've been getting notifications for stupid things like someone posting a photo or sharing a link. How can I take this out on my iPod?

You may have added them as a "close friend" which sends you notifications every time they do something. Go to your little tool bar thing on your Facebook app, go to close friends, and delete them. They won't be deleted as your friends...just as people you don't want notifications from
