If someone deactivated their Facebook page can cops find out who made the fake account.? Trying to find out who this person is.

Possibly by tracing the ip to a geo location and then seeing who lives their. For future ref, always use aVPN

They can if a crime has been committed using the fake profile. They have to get a court order to subpoena Facebook's records then can try and trace the person even if the account is closed. A deleted account is just deleted from public view, not from Facebook's server
