Is it safe to add someone I've ''met'' on the Internet on Facebook? - Anastasia - 11-22-2013 07:54 PM

I don't want to sound like a creep and I've never shown my face to her. It's just that I've been talking to this person a lot for a year now on Youtube and on another website. She posts lots of pictures of herself and she has many social networks so I'm pretty sure that's what she really looks like. I like her a lot as a virtual friend and I was wondering if it's okay to add her. I've never done such a thing, I'm usually paranoid about Internet safety.
Just to clarify, I'm a straight girl (she is too) and I like her only as a friend. Also we have a lot of common interests, because I met her on one of those sites where ''fans unite''.

If you are paranoid about it, don't do it, however, its not like you are getting married to her or anything.

If you like her as you have same interest, why not? As long as you don't give her details of yourself, just talking about the interests.
