FB, Twitter, Instagram, tumblr etc....Do you think less of people who don't have any of these?
What is a good social networking site for people who don't want their lives completely out in the open, or consumed, but want to maybe connect with people and upload some photos...instagram, tumblr, twitter?
How do you get followers if you don't have hundreds of friends in real life?

You don't need friends in real life to get followers. If people want to follow you, then they will follow you.
