What do you think are some positive and negative effects of social media in today's society? I am doing a survey for a paper and gathering data. Your opinion is greatly appreciated. Please be as in-depth as possible. Thank you so much for your time!

Positive, allows people to become more aware of the world around them. Remember Facebook brought down an Egyptian president.
Negative, a new form of Lynching. If enough outcry is there, then that outcry may be louder than the truth.
