plz i want to know from every one have a facebook account if this is true! can you read your friends messages? there are many people saying it's not a lie the new facebook allow others to read private messages

No. Your mesages are completely private. Howeveer, the other person can take a screenshot and make it public. Group chats are visible to anyone in that group, but just click on the names to show all of them.
