Some do it to see how happy/unhappy they are, if they have a new partner that they broke up with them for to pick on how's they look or to see what's wrong with themselves like why would they break up with you for someone else

I remember checking my exes profile from time to time after we broke up an the reason for this was because I still had feelings for him and missed him greatly. But it can be different for others, some might do it just to see what they're up to, some people wonder of their ex is happy or unhappy without them...but it all boils down to the fact that they're just not over each other yet, like I only decided to remove/block my ex back in march this year, when we broke up in September 2012.
