Hi, I've noticed that my Facebook cover photo & profile photo/comments can be viewed by the general public. Is there any way I can set this to private?

Profile photos No. Not sure about cover.

Profile photos can be made private..its upto you..you can make it visible to your friends or friends of friends or to specific people also..but cover photos are always public.
