A friend of mine recommended me to use facebook like exchange services to get likes for a community page. But i am new to this thing. What is it ? I can't understand how do you exchange likes on facebook ?

Facebook like exchange is an exchange of likes taken by facebook users who are hungry for getting likes to their pages. It occurs due to two main reasons.
1. Either the page admins wants to show his popularity to his friends.
OR
2. To gain the required 25 likes for setting up of a username.
You say that you need likes for your community page. My advice to you will be to use other ways like photos, word of mouth and contacting people who will be interested in your community page. One more thing you can try is to use Facebook ads to gain likes. The likes gained from such sources will be both targeted, long lasting as well as helpful to your page.
If you go through using any service that provides Facebook Like Exchange to it's users, then i will not recommend you to do. There are many pros and cons of using Facebook Like Exchange Services. A few of which are that they may be fake likes, which has been seen in the past. They likes gained are always temporary. Because almost all of the people who use those services use them with the intention of mass liking pages and then unliking them.
