I was just wondering- how do you set posts to have a Public option, or enable people to 'follow' you on Facebook and see your Public updates? Do you have to have an iPhone or something for that?

Naaa! Just Go to settings > followers > enable it.
And change you post setting to public before you hit enter on your next status.
