You can do either on Facebook. If you just made a Facebook account, I would recommend searching for your friends and adding them that way. Once you start sending out friend requests and becoming friends with people this will show up in your friends' news feeds. Then, anyone who is a friend of the people you just added will realize you have gotten a Facebook page, and they can then add you. If you decide to wait around and not add anyone, then no one will realize you have a Facebook page, and they won't add you. Hope this helps
