So what is a better field to go into... finance or accounting? - anonymous - 10-13-2012 05:32 PM
I am currently in my college's business school. I know I like marketing but I also want to major in something else. I can't decide between finance and accounting. I haven't taken any finance courses yet and won't be until my junior year but I have to secure a major this year as a sophomore. I am currently taking a basic financial accounting course which seems interesting so far. I just hear that the field is very boring. Ideally I would like to get a job as a planner or buyer but I know that accounting and finance are more stable. I just don't really want to have to take the CPA exam.
Also in terms of my personality, I am a very social person and like working with other people. However, I do also like routine. I just don't know what field is better for me in terms of enjoyment and for my future and what will pair well with marketing.
Any suggestions???

For me Accountancy is better.
