I would recommend just searching and adding your real friends.. Facebook uses the word "friend" too loosely.. Most of the time people add hundreds of people they don't even know or have never met face 2 face and that's when Facebook can become dangerous. Anyone who has more than 200 friends on fb has an inferiority/popularity complex.

Don't add people you don't know just so you can be 'famous'. Twitter is a better place for that. Facebook is normally used just to talk to friends. Don't forget by adding random people, they can see your personal information (address, phone number)

facebook is not meant to be used like that, and you arent going to get "famous" just by having a lot of fake friends
it is actually against the rules to add people you do not know in real life, and if you ignore those rules, facebook can detect that and they will suspend your account for doing it
if you dont believe me, just try it and see what happens to your account

why would you want loads of random people you dont even know? and just because someone has a bunch of 'friends' on facebook doesnt make them famous
