how can I stop a facebook friend from seeing my activity? - Kristin - 12-02-2013 09:21 PM

I have this new facebook friend and he is starting to make me crazy... As soon as I play a game or comment on someone's post he pops up and wants to chat ( for hours) It was ok at first, but now I am afraid to do anything on facebook incase he shows up.. I don't want to hurt his feelings but i want to do some damn stuff without always having to entertain him.. Is there a way to make this one person not see when I am on? I am always offline on chat too... I feel like starting a fake account just so I can play a damn game...in peace Thanks ppl

Just don't open chat. Or, you can click Chat on ➤ click cog icon on top right ➤ click Advance Setting, in there you have the choice to chat to several/specific people only or chat with your friends except for specific friends, pick your choice.

When that person see you comment on some status, he tried to chat with you, but since you set not to chat with him, his chat will go to your Message, don't answer it, at least not directly, you can wait a day or two at least before you answer it.

You can also put him in your Restrictic friend list, that way he only see your public status and only your comment/like on public status (the one with globe icon). Not engaging in public status, make him do not aware that you're log in FB.

See Setting for games you play whether there's setting not to share to newsfeed. But if he also play the same game, he probably know that anyway.

Many people I know make a special account for playing games & having friends from games. It's your call. At least don't use the same email address & same phone number, if you get caught, all your account can be blocked by FB.
