What happens if someone is blocked on facebook? - Larry - 12-03-2013 01:07 AM

I have been looking at profiles of a bunch of people and some of them look very inactive. For example the profile pic is 6 months old and no activity on timeline etc. These people would seem to be very active on FB, but they are not.

Has these people blocked or taken similar action? Or are they just simply inactive?

If you block somebody they can't find you and you can't find them.

Your question is misleading and the details only asks if the person(s) are active or inactive. What you described, is they are inactive and have likely stopped using facebook for personal reasons and moved onto other social networks, or they barely post, but mainly communicate via chat or private messaging. I know quite a few people who just use it to communicate instead, taking advantage of the video chat feature.

However, if you were blocked, you wouldn't find those people, ever, unless you either had a second facebook account, or logged out and searched them up, or entered their profile URL and visited it.

If someone is blocked, you cannot find the other person and their post in the facebook as well as the other person cannot find you and your post

They're not blocking you they are just inactive. If you are blocked and you have had any facebook chat messages their face will just be a blue background with a white silhouette. Also you would not be able to view their profile it would just say "link broken" or words to that effect.
