I publish stories and novels online and I want to reach a broader audience. I can't decide if I want to make a Twitter account for my novels or a Facebook page. I feel like Facebook is too hard to get likes, but with twitter it's really limiting.
So, in your opinion, what would you rather have an author have? A Twitter or a Facebook page? I just want to know what would be better in a fans opinion

Do both! Use twitter as a very small part of it. Just use it for heads up on things that are coming out, asking for suggestions, etc. Then, use Facebook for the much larger things for your novels and stories. Use them both, together they are very strong, but alone, very weak...

i had 3 business pages on facebook, one for my illustrations, one for my computer building, and one for my music. all pointless it has to be said. like you said its very hard to get likes, simple as alot of people do not pay attention to what they read.
but facebook is also over run by to many ads now, your page is never entirely your page anymore like it use to be. that said, i still use it. as its the only place online where we have the potential of reaching millions. you can not do that in a news paper, so there is pros and cons to using it.
being honest i used twitter once 3 years ago, and i did not see the point in it??
the main thing is, it is what you feel comfortable using. what will suit you best. try both and see which one you get on better with?? worth a shot. you could reach double the audience.

Both Twitter and Facebook. Your stories and novels will appeal twitter and facebook fans.BTW, I'm interested in your novels and stories. Could you please tell me novels and stories in twitter or facebook ?
