Probably means they want to add you. They might want to be your friend, or perhaps they are the sort of person who just likes adding everyone and getting their numbers up and you won't speak to them again.

Yes, just be careful though, don't add just anyone, sometimes they just want to cause trouble. Do a bit of checking out first if you're not sure.
