Is it safe to reactivate my Facebook? - Jack - 12-04-2013 06:53 PM

Two nights ago some one was able to access my Facebook from their phone. They went through my messages and took over 100 screenshots of some of my conversations with people and got a texting app with a fake number and has been trying to black mail me with them. I changed my password and deactivated my account. It's been deactivated for about a day, and I would like to know if I would be able to log into my Facebook account without it logging them in too?

I think you should. Defy the blackmailer, what's the worst he/she could do?

I'd say you're better off making a new account.

I think your safe now but do it again if anything is suspicious. & delete ur messages

You need to go to the police right away if you are being blackmailed. Let them arrest this person. It's a felony to blackmail you

I think that you should just open up a new account under a name very similar to your own. For example, if your name is Martina Smith, set your new account up under Tina Smith. Then, search the persons name that got into your account and block them. This will make them completely unable to find you through even a search, it'll appear as though you have no Facebook account. It's probably better to start fresh anyways, not only can you get rid of anyone you distrust, but our Facebook accounts tend to become a compilation of "friends" we hardly know and things we don't necessarily "like"

Hi. It's up to you. You could do this or make a new account. What do you want to do the most? Smile

I advice you to drop that facebook account and make a new one if you want.

The reason:
if you would want to use your old account then you have a big chance that they can hack back into that account.
That's way I advice you to drop the facebook account and make a new one if you wish so.

And I agree with Kittysue, you should go to the police and press charges!
