CLEAR FACEBOOK PHOTOS!?? - Happy - 12-05-2013 03:51 AM

Can someone tell me how I can upload my photos to facebook and make them look clear? I do photography. ~ When I see people advertising things... like Walmart and Macy's on facebook, their photos are always perfect. Is it a special program they use? Thanks in Advance for your input and advice...

Facebook allows a max size of 960x720 pixels. Use a utility such as IrfanView (or many others) to resize it to that size. Save it as a new file on say your desktop and specify the quality at 60%. This will closely approximate the algorithm's used to resize your photo to web, meaning the server won't change the compression or size by much resulting in what you see is what you get. An online service that does this for you is available, just search "online image resizer".

you cant do that on facebook

the issue is that when you try to upload something high quality, facebook converts the PNG file to a JPG file

JPG is compressed format to save on space

however, facebook has a "high quality" option for the album when you are uploading the pictures (using your computer, not your phone)

have you tried using that yet to see if it makes any difference?
