Twitter! You can follow your favorite celebrity to see their tweets. People also don't worry about likes on twitter, so its more fun
You also get the trending #'s which are also fun to look at.

Twitter excels in communicating instantly short messages with ease. especially in handheld devices.
FACEBOOK although it does loose out to TWITTER on this point .. it has much more features .. which twitter cannot provide.. uploading of photos and sharing them. Now with instagram under their fold, it has really enhanced its potential.
Setting up of pages to promote yourself or your products is immense in FB
For a laptop or desktop ..environment... FACEBOOK is a runaway winner.
