How long after a phone's release does a root come out? - Amy & Kurt - 12-06-2013 03:01 AM

I have the Nokia Lumia 928 and it's very limited in terms of apps and the like. It cannot have Spotify, instagram, and many other apps. Which doesnt make any sense on why they would make a phone that doesn't support those popular apps. Anyway, it's been out for 3 weeks and wanted to know how long it takes for someone to find out how to root a WP7 PHONE?

For Windows Phones (espcially Windows Phone 8), there is most likely never going to be any hacking method to change the way Windows works. If you were using an Android phone, then usually after a few weeks, there is usually a method available (unless you're using a Motorola phone, then there is almost never a way to get full control of the phone thanks to the locked bootloader).

As for iOS devices, jailbreaking methods are usually available when there is a team who is willing to make it, but sometimes, it never happens for a long time (remember the iOS 6 update with the iPhone 5 or the iPod Touch 5G anyone? Jailbreak method never came out for months). Hope this helped.

PS: You're using a Windows Phone 8 phone. Not Windows Phone 7.
