Going into detail, when you talk a lot on facebook, facebook automatically makes that person 1st on the list (not sure how to say it). For example, when you click on anyone's post that she liked, she would be the first person listed out of like 20 other friends. When i click on the facebook chat, she is listed first. So the more you interact with someone, the more that person would be on your top list pretty much.
I don't want to block her or anything. I don't want to hide her activities. I just want her off my list. How could I do this?
It's been like this for almost a year.

un friend her. put her on block.

You click there profile once there it should say "Friends" on the timeline cover hover your mouse over that and the dropped down box will go and click "get notifications" to disable it and the "get notifications" will go from bold to regular print text

You mean like if she likes a post then itll show "(her name) and 8 others liked this"?
The only way thatll go away is if you defriend her and unfollow her. After that you have to interact with others and itll go away but since shes your ex you probably interacted with her a lot more (messages, likes, statues, ect) than anyone else
