When I told him he should get rid of it he said he deactived it but I could still search him the only difference was that I could message him but not add him. He's animate he deactivated but I think he changed his privacy settings. Please tell me what you think he did?

Yes, he just changes the privacy settings. If he deactivated it, it wouldn't be there if you search for it. If he insists that he did deactivate it ask him for proof.

i Think He Lied to you Because When you Deactivate a Facebook Account it Shuts Down Right Away And you Should Not Be Able to View the Profile At All

You're his girlfriend. You have no right to demand that he do anything. If you don't trust him, break up with him. End of story. If he's doing something shady on Facebook, he's probably doing the same things in real life.
He probably just changed his privacy settings. So, not only is he shady, he's a liar. Is that enough for you to get rid of him?
