If there not able to post anything on your wall then wont they realize they are on your restricted list?

Friends you put on your Restricted list can only see your public post and your comments & likes on public post; however they're still your friends, so they are able to post on your Timeline, they can tag you, they can share things to you, anything that your other friends can do.
