Facebook notifications? - Michelle - 12-07-2013 08:33 PM

Every time one of my friends posts a picture or updates her status, it shows up in my notification bar. Honestly, it's annoying me and I don't want to see her crap because she posts a LOT. she's not in my close friends, but how do I fix it? Please help!

When you add someone to your Close Friends list, you’ll automatically receive notifications about what that person posts on Facebook. You can adjust the settings for these notifications:

From your News Feed, click Friends in the left column. You might have to click More to see the Friends section.
Click Close Friends to view the list.
Click the Notifications dropdown in the top-right corner.
Choose whether you want to turn off these extra notifications.

Go to your friends list and scroll down until you find the persons thumbnail. Hover your mouse over the friends button with the check mark and uncheck "Get notifications". That's it!

Go to her Timeline ➤ click Friends ➤ untick Notification in order not to get one, and ➤ untick Show in Newsfeed in order not to get her status update in your Newsfeed.

But you can't avoid getting notification of her like/comment on your posts or on others'post that you put your comment.
