Well, at least I think she's random. I wouldn't be too surprised if she recognizes me but I don't recognize her, but yeah... I really don't recognize her.
She also only has only one friend on facebook and it says she joined just today. Is it normal for newcomers to facebook to add a completely stranger?

Why would you even think like that? Things like that are not important! If you don't know her then don't add her.. Unless you think she's hot.

Some people just want to get their friend count up. But it's also possible that it's a sort of spam FB account. Spammers of some sort will make a brand new account with a random name and get a picture of some hot chick for it, then just randomly friend as many people as possible before spamming them or doing some other nefarious thing.

if they only have one friend and you dont know them, then its ether a stalker or a scammer, add it and find out then delete if you dont like

that's not a real girl, that's a spammer disguised as a girl
report the profile for breaking the rules by adding someone they dont know as a friend

It's fairly normal, yea. If they just want to start a new life on friends. Also, if your in a relationship with someone, she might have created a new profile and added you to check up on you. I use to do things like this so i know. :-P A girl added me randomly out of nowhere at one point, early May. And we started going out and soon Wanted to get married. But of course we didn't, we just put our relationship status' that way.

Probably a fake account, but most likely it's just a newbie that adds hot people or maybe she thought you were someone she knew because you have the same name as that someone she knew. Anyway, you shouldn't let it bother you, if you don't want to know her or she seems fishy, then you can delete her anytime of the day and night. And why are you asking this on Yahoo? Is she hot?
