If i take and post an image outside of school of another student is it illeagle?

Depending on the jurisdiction in which you live, it's probably legal unless/until the student tells you to remove the picture and you refuse.

If you slander the student or use the picture in a manner that portrays the student negatively or causes the student legal trouble, you may be in violation of some law somewhere.

It really does depend on where you live and what you do with the picture. I'm not privy to the laws of Canada, so you need to check out any repercussions for any usage your planning to make of the photo. You may also want to check out copyright law in your country to find out whether a person owns his own appearance --- just to cover your backside.
