Why can I see all of my husband's tweets to other people? - Gigi - 12-09-2013 03:32 AM I am very new to twitter and I thought that if you start out your tweet with the @ and the person's name you are tweeting, then it won't show up to anybody but the person you are tweeting. But I go to my husband's twitter page and I can see every post he makes to other people....and he doesn't put the period in front of the @ sign. Any reasons why that could be? I don't want my posts to other people showing up on my Twitter feed. - Wira - 12-09-2013 03:46 AM The @ sign meaning is the recipient of a particular message, to whom the message is intended for, not a private message that cannot be seen by others. Like #, hashtag is keyword which is also public. If u want to send private message, use the Direct Message, refered too as DM from twitter menu. This is the one that works like email n of course cannot be seen by others. |
