I am with you on this question. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you. I avoid liking some things because I don't want everyone to know my likes and dislikes.

Go to your privacy settings and change to "only me" - "who can see my stuff." etc., Also you can select 'do not show in newsfeed".
