Does facebook message say seen, even when the message hasn't been seen? - Furrynomz - 12-11-2013 06:16 AM

So if you're sent a message, and it says seen on your friend's Facebook, would it be possible, especially if you have a phone app, for you to not have seen it? Or if your message says seen at *enter time here* but they haven't seen it?

Just wondering, apparently this happens.

It will only say 'seen at the time' if it had been read'

Yes, this is true, I'm certain. I use a Facebook app on my phone and I never log out so it says seen asif I have even though I haven't. This drives my mates mad because they all think I'm just ignoring them.

it is possible if the person is using the facebook app and has just left it on messenger because then the devise will automatically think you've seen it. if their using a computer on facebook it will tell you the person has seen it as soon as they touch the mouse or mouse pad.
so your answer is YES

No,

If there's a tiny little thing that says "Seen (date)"

that means the user absolutely sees it,

but if it doesn't have any "SEEN (date)"

it's is either, not been seen by the user or it was simply ignore.
