The person doesn't seem to appear on search, but I can see posts and tags by her to my mutual friends. How to tell if you have been blocked? Have I been blocked by this person?

If you can send a message to them, can't comment on a pic or any status of theirs your blocked.

If you cannot search for this person then you are blocked by them.

Some people somehow can't be search using their name, but can be search using their user name.
If you can see their name as the one who post, comment or like, means you're not block. If you see their name in blue, click on their name, it will bring you to their timeline, it's another proof that you're not blocked by that person.

It means that person's account is private and can only be shared with his/her friends that is why you can't see him or her on search.
