do you think facebook is irresponsible? - davidbareuk - 12-13-2013 08:29 PM

allowing decapitation and results of terrorism on their pages
Lots of kids have Face book and it could blow their minds seeing such images or even video of somebody having their head decapitated
Face book have approved of their users showing violent content its been criticised by a number of advertisers who will be pulling their adverts and support for face book

Wouldn't that be considered a violation of 'Freedom of the Press' if you were to censor shit like that?
Just because you don't enjoy looking at it doesn't mean there aren't some fucked up people in the world.

No. Do you realise how many pages, users there are and how many people are employed there?

It would be impossible to go through all of the pages and users manually. Such things are against the terms of service, and there are tools in place to report such pages so they're taken down. So the responsibility between the company and it's users is shared. See a page that violates the terms of service, report it. They will look into it, or an automated service will, just like YouTube when you flag a video.

I don't really think facebook is a place for kids. I know most would disagree, but really, its filled with all sorts of inappropriate stuff that couldn't possibly be removed at the rate in which its posted, and a child is bound to see something bad at some point.
I think the users are more irresponsible than the company itself. That's why I quit; got tired of seeing the crap other people posted.

It's one of the most popular social media websites out there. Of course there's going to be some inappropriate stuff. Not everyone in this world is perfectly sane. Facebook cannot censor content unless it is flagged as inappropriate a.k.a reported. Racial, Sexual, Discriminative material is normally removed quickly if flagged.

yes Facebook should be ashamed to show such videos of decapitation
