Why can't America privatize the whole Government? - Christian Conservative Patriet - 10-13-2012 08:47 PM

We should privatize the federal government entirely. All 3 branches, the military, the CIA, FBI, national parks, the border patrol, IRS, Social Security, all federal buildings and land, NASA, US Postal Service - everything.

Only then could we live under a true Free Market like the great and best president ever to grace himself on the face of the Earth, Ronald Reagan wanted us to.

Let's do it! I could buy the judicial branch and throw you in jail just because I don't like you, or I could buy the legislative branch and make it illegal for you to be an idiot on the internet.

Any government is too much government. I say we just remove the government entirely and form our own little governments by state, which we will then abolish until we simply operate on a mutual understanding of implied law.

It can't POSSIBLY fail.

privatizing the iraq war did not work out too well

Hold on there pal, I'm pretty sure that Ronald (tax and spend when it suited him) Regan would have wanted to privatise the whole of the federal government.

Also, are you sure that you know what privatisation entails? It means that instead of being run not-for-profit, and funded by collecting taxes, government services would be run by private, for-profit corporations.

Which would mean that if a service didn't turn a profit, or if someone couldn't pay for it, they would no longer provide the service, like the US Postal Service, the NASA, or the interstate system.

There's a reason that sending a letter across the country is so cheap.

Yes, we should. Again, I thought that looked familiar.
