I know that from chat options I can choose "Turn Off Chat". But when I click the button chat turns off and in about 2 minutes it turns itself again on. What can I do to stay offline?

Many other friends also suffer from this but This will happen if you have any other device connected to FB .If not then try this
Click gear in the chat sidebar
Select Advanced Settings
Click Turn on chat for only some friends
List the friends you want to turn on chat for
Friend I think it works try it...
