Why did Facebook remove a mobile phone picture when someone claimed it was thier copyright? - Dinnages - 12-19-2013 06:28 AM

Using an iphone I took some pictures at a public event, this view is still only on my iphone and was posted to my friends only Facebook profile and news feed, yet someone (not on my friends list) claimed it was their copyright and Facebook removed it. Facebook seem to work like I have to prove it by me asking the claimant to report back to Facebook as they wont allow me to appeal directly, and the claimant doesn't even have to respond. In law I take a photo is MY copyright so the onus should be on the other party to prove it was theirs to support the argument when I can show the exif meta data of the picture, and anyway, it states that on the view within facebook, camera, time, date and place if they bother to look.

Any idea how to stop spurious accusers like this.
There is no option to get back to Facebook about it, they do not allow me to show proof its mine, I stated that in my question. There is no way to get Facebook to arbitrate, not interested, only by the accuser going back to them. I have no way to defend myself. Its still only on my phone with the photo deleted from Facebook. Its an active view with people walking so not a mistaken 'similar' view. Its Facebook I am angry at, where I have no right of appeal to those who have the power to remove such photos or even close MY account on the whim of another user.

You Cant Stop People From Reporting your Photo as Copyright if its yours If Facebook Deleted it you have to Some How Prove it to Them Show Proof That your The One That Took The Picture
