If your email account is protected by a phone number to reset the password so it's not a bad idea in case you like to be contact from people via email.

i think thats okay. just delete your spam mail if you got any .

Even if it's protected no don't allow your email on Facebook timeline because u can still be cantacted by using Facebook instead so no I won't allow it not safe
