No, they will see all activites so far but won't be able to contact you from the time you blocked.

They can but they can't message you and vice versa. The only way they can't see the messages anymore is if they delete them

The messages will still be in their inbox, but the name will be gone. It will say "A Facebook User".

In case if you are about messages and comments they have made in your profile then let me tell those messages and comments will get lighter and inaccessible to you and those blocked friends will not be able to see them anymore.

The messages will not be deleted.
You and the person will still be able to see the messages, you just won't be able to reply to them or click on their name. obviously

Well they will still be able to see them.
But it will be under Facebook User...
It'll be the same on your page, you will be able to see past messages but it'll be under Facebook User.
