Why does Facebook share almost everything you do online? - Atanasij - 12-21-2013 09:09 AM

One of the people at our school selected some option on a website that made it so that Facebook would share everything you did there without being aware of it, and it basically ruined his reputation and he is unemployed because nobody will hire him. Why does Facebook share almost everything you do online?

Well to be fair, you shouldn't be putting stuff on Facebook that could ruin your reputation in the first place

Hmmm, sounds like he was logged into facebook while using this site. The site extracted his information. People are unaware that you should never browse random sites WHILE logged into facebook. The internet is a dark place, and sites CAN get your facebook info without you having a clue. And yes, just as the answerer below mentioned, don't post something that could ruin your rep. There is no privacy on the internet.
