I have a slider keyboard cell phone
No touch screen no internet plan on it
Simple phone plan with unlimited texts
On Facebook has an option for me to update my status via texts and I looked at the process and it seems legit
However Will i get charged for texting to a number that is not the standard length (32665)

As long as it is via text you should not be charged.
Did it for over a year with Verizon without any charges.
