I opened a facebook page recently but now i think i opened it wrongly, i went straight to 'create a page'. Do you think it would have been better if i opened it through my own account?

If you think you did it wrong then you check your settings and put right what ever you think is wrong, but it is a good idea to open a page on your own account because, you can invite your friends to like/join your page.
