I'm really confused because I deleted a load of old apps that I used to use on facebook and to check they were all gone I. Scrolled down again and new stuff came up from years ago. On e I've deleted all this of my timeline will my friends not be able to see it if they scroll down my timelone

If you delete it then no-one can see it, that's the same with hiding it I think! Because "hide" usually means to keep it out of sight of others so I guess so!

if it was on your time line it will stay their forever, unless you delete it.

Hello, Jess!
When you delete something off of your Facebook timeline the post should disappear everywhere. Your friends won't be able to see it while scrolling through your timeline because it no longer exists.
When you hide things on Facebook from your timeline, the post won't be visible in your timeline but it will be visible elsewhere such as on a friends "News Feeds". In other words if you don't want none of your friends to see something on their news feeds then the "hide from timeline" is not the option for you.
I would suggest changing the privacy of your posts accordingly to what you feel more comfortable with. You can make lists of friends. You can always change the privacy of your posts to "everyone", "friends", "friends of friends" and other lists.

If you Hide Something From your Timeline your Friends Wont Be Able to See it From your Timeline But it Will Still be There Tho If you Delete the Post Completely than Its Gone For Good
