I decided to let another Instagram friend co-own my account with me, but while she is on there, it automatically logs me out. Is there any way for both of us to be on the same account?

Yes it is possible, because I loaded Instagram on my ipod touch, my ipad my mom's phone and my dad's phone and it is logged in on each device with the same account, and it never happened to me that I was logged out.
