Hacking emails/Facebook profiles is a federal crime. It counts as invasion of privacy if the person wants to press charges he could.

Hacking is illegal. If you hack someone's Facebook and/or email, you could go to jail. As another answerer said, it's a Federal crime just as tampering with postal mail is a Federal crime.

It doesn't matter if you use proxies, either. They WILL find you.

If you are hacked then that person who hacked it will send nasty messages to your friends to prove how bad person you are. And also that person can also be able to check your personal details.
