i inbox me mate to ask if he can get me any weed or Pandora's box and he went mad saying stop writing stuff like that to me Facebook and i said it was ya inbox not ya timeline and he said the police can see the inbox 2 ?

no, I've had numerous drug related conversations in chat and via private message on facebook.

Yes, they can, just like coming to see you're house. They need a warrant for that and they'll have to approach Facebook prior to doing so.

Most cases you'll find low level criminal activity is skipped over online, but everything is monitored in this day and age. They'll easily pickup on hints of violence or aggression to members of the royal family or terrorism from you're inbox, in some ways its a blessing, their protecting our people, but other ways its also invasion of privacy.

If they have a reason to they can get it to anyones facebook anything with a password they can still get into it doesn't matter if you change your password they can always get into it. I know from family who have worked in a police spot (not a policeman though) but yeah they can see anything but they need to be given a reason to look first
