What does facebook do to users who post videos of violence? - Maddie - 12-25-2013 12:57 PM

Im not friends with this user but I saw a video they uploaded on my news feed cuz one of are mutual friends liked it. It was a video of that users cousin attacking another girl(it wasnt a fight cuz the girl didnt defend herself) So I reported it and it looks like FB took it down but is that it?

FB is like YT.

Any videos that show unwarranted violence get removed if they are flagged.

I think that should be it but they could get banned depending on how bad the video is.

It goes like this...

Every user has the right to flag a video or a photo...or a comment for abusive content , pornography ....etc etc...

Facebook will verify if the flag is real and then take down this content.

But it does not remove a user instantly cause ones content might get flagged for fun from a 3rd user....if you get my point....e.g. i can come and flag your content about let's say adorable cats...

So , after a specific, unknown to us, number of flags towards a user , Facebook will ban it's account permanently.

Hope i've helped
