Try holding your finger over the text and you should see options Copy and Delete

You still can't copy text in FB apk? Even in the latest version?
That's why I cease to use FB apk years ago, instead I access FB via web https://www.facebook.com (full site).
You can copy text, download pic directly to your device with those.
